83. Golden Globe Awards: Die Gewinner

Die Golden Globes haben in diesem Jahr ein deutliches Signal gesendet: Gefragt sind ambitionierte Stoffe, starke Handschriften hinter der Kamera und Serien, die nicht nur Reichweite, sondern auch erzählerische Tiefe mitbringen. Die Preisverleihung offenbarte klare Schwerpunkte – sowohl im Kino- als auch im TV-Bereich.

Im Filmbereich ragte vor allem «One Battle After Another» heraus. Paul Thomas Anderson war der große Gewinner des Abends: Er wurde sowohl für die Beste Regie als auch für das Beste Drehbuch ausgezeichnet. Damit unterstrichen die Golden Globes einmal mehr ihre Nähe zum Autorenkino. Zusätzlich gewann Timothée Chalamet den Darstellerpreis im Bereich Musical oder Comedy, während Tayana Taylor für ihre Nebenrolle geehrt wurde. Kaum ein anderer Film prägte den Abend in dieser Deutlichkeit. Das klassische Drama-Segment wurde von «Hamnet» bestimmt. Der Film gewann den Golden Globe als Bestes Drama, Jessie Buckley wurde als Beste Hauptdarstellerin ausgezeichnet. Auch die zahlreichen weiteren Nominierungen – unter anderem für Regie und Drehbuch – zeigten, dass literarische Vorlagen mit emotionalem Anspruch weiterhin einen hohen Stellenwert haben.

International positionierten sich die Golden Globes ebenfalls klar. «The Secret Agent» aus Brasilien gewann den Preis für den Besten nicht-englischsprachigen Film, Hauptdarsteller Wagner Moura setzte sich zudem in der Kategorie Bester Hauptdarsteller – Drama durch. Damit blieb der internationale Wettbewerb nicht bloße Pflichtübung, sondern rückte sichtbar ins Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit.

Im Animationsbereich sorgte «KPop Demon Hunters» für einen Doppelerfolg: Der Film gewann sowohl als Bester Animationsfilm als auch mit dem Besten Filmsong. Auch hier zeigte sich die zunehmende Bedeutung globaler Popkultur-Phänomene. Einen Spagat zwischen Kritikerlob und Massenerfolg schaffte «Sinners»: Neben dem Golden Globe für die Beste Filmmusik wurde der Titel auch als Cinematic and Box Office Achievement ausgezeichnet.

Mindestens ebenso klar fiel das Bild im Serienbereich aus. «The Pitt» setzte sich als Beste Drama-Serie durch, Noah Wyle erhielt zusätzlich den Preis als Bester Hauptdarsteller. Die Auszeichnung markiert einen Achtungserfolg für klassisches, dialoggetriebenes Drama. Bei den Comedy-Serien gewann «The Studio» den Golden Globe. Seth Rogen wurde für seine Hauptrolle ausgezeichnet – ein weiterer Hinweis darauf, dass die Grenzen zwischen Comedy, Satire und Medienkritik zunehmend verschwimmen.

Den wohl geschlossensten Erfolg des Abends feierte «Adolescence». Die Netflix-Produktion gewann als Beste Miniserie und stellte mit Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty und Owen Cooper gleich mehrere Schauspielpreisträger. Kaum eine andere Serie dominierte eine Kategorie derart deutlich. Bei den Schauspielerinnen überzeugten Jean Smart («Hacks») in der Comedy, Rhea Seehorn («Pluribus») im Drama sowie Michelle Williams («Dying for Sex») im Miniserien-Bereich. Auffällig: Die ausgezeichneten Rollen sind fast durchweg komplex, gebrochen und fernab klassischer TV-Klischees.
